COMMON SHOP boards are selected for shorter clear one face cuttings maximizing raw materials value, well suited for finger-jointed panels and specialty items.

Widths: 3.5 inch minimum, admitting 5 percent (by volume) narrows.

Lengths: 6 foot minimum.

Minimum Size Cuttings: 3 inches by 2 feet C1F. In 4/4 and 5/4: 3 inch by 18 inch finger joint cuttings are allowed. A 3 inch by 18 inch C2F cutting is accepted in 4/4 and 5/4 only. No Limit to the number of cuttings allowed

Grade Notes: This grade admits all boards of 2 feet and over surface measure yielding not less than 50 percent clear, one-face cuttings with the reverse side of the cuttings being a SOUND CUTTING.

SIDE BEND is limited to 1inch.

PIN KNOTS are not considered defect.
