BIRCH SELECT & BETTER grade is ideal for fine cabinetry, furniture and molding manufacturing where a clear two-face cutting is required.

BIRCH SELECT & BETTER grade includes all FAS2F and Select boards. Select boards must grade at least a Number 1 back and the face must grade a select.

Cuttings of 4 inch (101.6 mm) wide by 36 inch (90 cm) and longer and 3inch (76.2 mm) wide by 72 inch (180 cm) and longer clear face cuttings.

Minimum Finger Joint = 24 inch (60 cm)

Minimum width = 3-3/8 inch (85.7 mm)

Overall Minimum Yield = 83-1/3 percent.
