BIRCH NUMBER 3 SHOP grade utilizes both clear two-face cuttings and sound cuttings in the board to make up the over-all minimum yield.

Cuttings of 3 inch (76.2 mm) wide by 24 inch (60 cm) and longer with some 2 inch wide (50.8 mm) finger joints in the 12 inch (30 cm) to 20 inch (50 cm) range.

Minimum Finger Joint = 12 inch (30 cm) to 20 inch (50 cm).

Minimum width = 3-3/8 inch (85.7 mm)

Overall Minimum Yield = 33-1/3 percent.
